Having been formed in Lanark in 1969, Kirkfield has been at the heart of the community ever since. Thousands of children and volunteers have been involved over the years and currently there is in excess of 300 players across teams team from the age of 5 to Amateurs across all genders.
The club has now settled at the football facilities at Lanark Racecourse having played at various venues around the town over the years.
Kirkfield is much more than a football club, our players aren't just members of a team, they are members of our community. Our players and volunteers support each other both on and off the pitch helping to create a bond which will carry on through life.
Kirkfield are also at the heart of the Lanark Community supporting and participating in local events like Lanimers and the Illuminated Parade and in return the club are supported generously by the local community in terms of sponsorship and fundraising.
Kirkfield are proud to be from Lanark; And always aim to make the Lanark community proud of Kirkfield United.
To provide a pathway for our players, Kirkfield have an affiliation with West of Scotland junior side Lanark United that will allow them to progress their careers should they wish to do so.
Like Kirkfield, "The Yowes" are heavily invested in the development and progression of local players and developing the local footballing community in the Lanark area. These shared values make this an extremely exciting affiliation.
The utopia one day would be for Lanark United to have a team full of Kirkfield graduates.
